Testimonials
Greenfields Place is a project with the needs of the community at its heart. We want to create a safer, cleaner and greener place for residents to live.
To ensure that residents' needs are placed at the very centre of our plans we have spoken to a number of individual residents and local residents' groups and this is what they had to say about the project:

Gordon Friel, Labour councillor for Linacre ward said:
"I am pleased that OVH has made the decision to invest such a significant amount of money in the area of Marsh Lane. I believe that this is testimony to the hard work of many agencies and people in the locality that has given OVH the confidence to invest such a large sum on a capital programme project that will also boost the economy at this time and for a number of years to come.
The hard work of the Marsh Lane High Rise tenants committee, residents and the Police alongside ourselves as elected representatives have worked hard to bring benefits and improvements over a long period of time but it has always needed a significant financial investment and this surpasses my expectation.
This is a great early Christmas present for us all and I am assured that the highest standards of consultation will be afforded to us all by OVH!”

Councillor Doreen Kerrigan said:
“This is a long tem commitment by OVH to the tenants of Marsh Lane high rise flats and surrounding area. It is a boost for Bootle, and a boost for the economy, that will bring long term benefits and raise the profile of the area. A Partnership approach is needed involving the tenants association, the residents, local police, local councilors and OVH. Through a consultation process that listens sensitively to any concerns that residents may have during this process of change, I am confident that OVH will give a commitment ensuring that this will be done.”

Margie Bennett
Treasurer of the Marsh Lane High Rise Residents’ Association and steering group member of the Brunswick Youth Club
“Working with local young people from the Brunswick Youth Club I’m delighted there is a focus on creating a better environment for the kids to grow up in and there’ll be dedicated places for the younger ones to safely play in. I’m also pleased that One Vision Housing is committed to providing jobs and apprentice schemes for local residents.
Having seen the architect’s drawings I have to say it looks very impressive. I’ve lived in this area for 10 years and witnessed many changes, so hopefully this project will put Marsh Lane in the spotlight and bring the community closer together.”

Marion Cannon
Secretary of Marsh Lane High Rise Resident Group
“It’s exciting that something is finally happening. The association has worked hard with One Vision Housing and other local partners to get a better quality of life for its residents and the plans suggest they have listened to our needs and concerns. We really do hope that it all goes to plan and our expectations are not only met but surpassed.”
